Fell & Sell Blueprints and Recipe Unlocks

Mats without plans are just inventory weight. Here is how recipes actually enter your shop.

Blueprints

Gold and raw materials are not enough. Fell & Sell gates serious crafting behind blueprints — plans you pull from dungeon chests, elite rewards, and Quest Board payouts. Without the right plan, you cannot turn a perfect haul into the weapon or Comfort piece that would have paid for the risk. This page covers where blueprints come from, which unlocks matter early, and how to stop drowning in mats you cannot use.

What a blueprint is

A blueprint teaches a recipe permanently for that save. Once unlocked, you craft whenever mats and gold costs allow. Demo builds locked some full-game recipes on purpose; carrying a July save does not mean you own the whole 1.0 tree. Demo vs Full, Crafting Recipes.

Where blueprints drop

Dungeon chests — deeper floors and elite rooms raise plan quality. Boss chests are the headline sources for biome-tier gear plans.

Quest Board — expedition feats convert into gold, gear, and sometimes the exact plan you needed. Visit after every extract. Board emptiness was a launch bug fixed on 27 August. Quest Board.

Exploration side paths — breakable rooms and optional alcoves after Demo 2.0 destructible dungeon work hide more than vendor trash.

Forest finds — Living Forest loops can yield material plans and Comfort-related unlocks when weather and raids do not kill you first. Forest Foraging.

What to unlock first

  1. A reliable weapon plan above your starter junk.
  2. A shield or armor plan that supports your block habit.
  3. A table or Comfort furniture plan that increases sell flow and combat buffs.
  4. Material compression recipes that turn bulk junk into denser sellables.
  5. Specialty altar-friendly tools only after the shop loop is stable.

Blueprints versus raw selling

Sometimes the correct play is to sell the mat, not hoard for a plan you do not have. Empty shelves while you wait for a legendary schematic is how shops starve. Price what you can stock today: How to Sell Items, How to Make Money.

When you do have the plan, craft if the output sells above the sum of inputs plus your time risk. Pricing math: Pricing Guide.

Banking plans

Blueprints in the run bag are still unbanked items until you extract. Dying with a plan on your corpse is a special kind of pain. Treat high-tier plans like boss loot — How to Bank Loot.

Patch awareness

1.0.1 fixed demo furniture grants that some players confused with missing plans. 1.0.2 stopped overweight weapon swaps from deleting gear you needed for craft prerequisites. Gamepad patch repaired Quest Board reward loss on load — critical for plan hunters. Updates.

Shopping list mindset

Write a three-plan wishlist before you dive: one weapon, one defense piece, one Comfort or table upgrade. Ignore shiny recipes outside that list until shelves are stable. When a Quest Board offers a plan off-list but your bag is already rich, extract first — plans die like any other unbanked item. After unlock, craft a single test piece, price it carefully, and only then mass-produce. That sequence stops blueprint hunting from starving the counter. See Quest Board, Pricing Guide, Furniture, and How to Make Money.

When a blueprint is not worth the dive

If shelves are empty and customers are waiting, sell mats first and chase plans on the next loop. A blueprint that enables a mid-tier weapon you will not equip for three biomes can wait. Likewise, Comfort furniture plans matter more once you have something to put on the tables. Chase depth only when the shop can survive a failed extract. FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Do demo blueprints include the full game?

No. Demo-only locks kept full-game recipes out of the free build. Carry-over helps; it is not the whole tree.

Where should I farm early blueprints?

Elite chests in Shallow, boss chests when ready, and Quest Board feats after every extract.

Should I hoard mats before I have plans?

Keep a modest reserve, but sell surplus so shelves stay alive. Plans without a funded shop do nothing.

Can blueprints drop from the forest?

Yes — material and Comfort-related plans appear in Living Forest loops, alongside raid and storm risk.
